CORAL

CORAL is an electronic resource management system initially started by the University of Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Libraries. The first module, Licensing, was released as open source software in the summer of 2010 and we have continued releasing new modules since then. It is designed to be both simple and highly customizable – each module can be installed independently or used together depending on your library’s needs. If you do decide to install the entire suite, easy access to linked records help make sense of the electronic resource through the entire life cycle of acquisition, licensing, administration, support, and usage. Koha Integration

The current functionality allows vendors to be synchronized between Coral and Koha. This allows users to easily see what vendors are available in Koha’s acquisitions module and CORAL’s organization module to eliminate duplicate entries and streamline data. The other functionality that is available for Koha and CORAL users is the ability for users to quickly navigate to the resource in CORAL directly from Koha’s staff catalog interface.

Modules

CORAL consists of 5 modules, Organizations, Resources, Licensing, Management and Statistics.

Library Accounts Coordinator

Kelly has never been without a book or two in the car, on her nightstand and on the living room coffee table. She owes her passion for reading and the library to her mother. Regardless of the busyness of life, Kelly's mother would read to her each night (Little Women was a favorite) and bring her to the library weekly. Kelly wants to share that love of libraries to all! She received her MLIS from the University of Arizona. Although she enjoyed the warmth in Arizona, the pull to return to New England was too strong. Kelly started her library career as a Tech Services librarian and moved on to a Systems Librarian at the Stowe Free Library in Vermont. In her spare time, Kelly loves hiking and exploring Maine, her home state.
